NETWORKING RESOURCES & OTHER GOOD STUFF
Listed here are publications and organizations which, like Both Sides Now, are working to make a better world. Some we exchange with, some we subscribe to, of others we are members. While their views may differ from ours in some details, and therefore we do not endorse them unconditionally, we believe they represent people of good will. We welcome your feedback and recommendations for additions to this list.
Christian*New Age Quarterly - Our favorite exchange publication. A continuing dialog on the bridge between Christianity and the New Age, coming more from the Christian side but in a non-sectarian way. Intelligent writing; spiritual and thought provoking.
The Peace Alliance - For years Both Sides Now has worked to bring about a synthesis of progressive spirituality and politics. Now Marianne Williamson and Neale Donald Walsch have brought together an awesome group of leading edge thinkers and writers toward much the same goal. (BSN is more willing than others to go out on a limb regarding E.T.s, prophecy, and esoteric teachings, so there is a difference.)
YES! A Journal Of Positive Futures - A quarterly magazine focusing on economics, business, science, technology, and politics; showing that there are earth-friendly and people-friendly alternatives to the system of corporate greed which threatens our freedom and environment. Check their website at least monthly for online only content.

Realistic Living - A journal on religion and ethics published twice each year. It attempts to fill a gap in religious and ethical publishing, more secular than the religious press, more religious than the secular press. AlterNet - One of BSN's favorite alternative news sources. AlterNet is a highly acclaimed Internet information source that provides readers with crucial facts and passionate opinions they can't find anywhere else. Since its inception in 1998, AlterNet has grown dramatically to keep pace with the public demand for independent news and now provides free online content to over 1.5 million readers every month. Relying solely on word of mouth and viral marketing, AlterNet is unique in that its success has come entirely from its readers, who demand reliable information and use it to take action.
Tom Paine.common sense - Another of BSN's favorites. For people who want to keep in touch with the progressive community but don't have time to surf dozens of websites; for people who care about the progressive cause and are looking for an online home. Each day they scour the country—from Capitol Hill to newspapers to think tanks and activist groups—and highlight the news, ideas and actions that you need to stay fully informed. Because they're based in Washington, D.C., expect them to be obsessed with the workings of the nation's capitol.
International Progressive Publications Network (IPPN) - Offers a comprehensive and international directory of progressive publications (including BSN) plus media articles & much more.
Fragments - More or less a personal site where you can find thoughts and information about many of the subjects that interest the editor: the nature of power, the necessity of social change, the futility of war, the stupidity of violence and the promise of strategic nonviolence. These topics and more are explored by presenting fragments of ideas in essays, stories, quotes, rants, poetry, graphic art and photographs.
